our story
This is an ongoing documentation of life with our son, Asher William. "Asher" is Hebrew, meaning blessed and happy. We can't think of a more appropriate explanation of what our son means to us. Asher was born on April 23, 2009 at 5 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches long. After a complicated pregnancy, Asher was born 24 days early and ended up spending 3 weeks in the NICU after birth. While every aspect of this journey has been far from what we expected, it has been one that has required us to constantly put our trust in God. Asher was diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome when he was 7-weeks old and we are continually learning new ways to be the best parents we can be for him. We are thankful for our "happy blessing" and can't wait to see where our journey of parenthood takes us.
